Many people around the globe are starting to realise the benefits (environmental, health and taste!) of buying local when it comes to food. Heathcote is one corner of the world that is well ahead of the trend when it comes to producing quality, homegrown cuisine.

Hit High Street to sample the goods with wonderful café food (and more) from places like the Heathcote Wine Hub, Rutherford & Maine and Fetching Treasures, not to mention delicious pies and baked goods from Gaffney’s. Sample old school pub meals at The Commercial Hotel and, on the first Saturday of every month, enjoy local fare at the Bush Market. 

Check out cellar doors such as Munari, Silver Spoon Estate, Tellurian Wines and Vinea Marson for delicious meals and snacks while you sit and look over the vines. If DIY is more your style, grab some produce straight from the farm gate at one of the many producers in the region and make a gourmet meal of your own.
