Discover the unique history of the Sunshine Harvester which was developed in the Elmore area by Hugh Victor McKay.
On entering our complex you will be directed to our 50 seat theatre and will learn the history of the harvester along with general information about our region. Then come along for a “walk back in time” as you view the many and varied large display areas in our building.
Community owned, and operated by a small band of helpful volunteers we are indeed very proud of our very own Heritage Centre.

Campaspe Run is situated at the southern entrance of the Northern Highway in Elmore and Elmore is half way between Bendigo and Echuca.

Our beautiful, locally made Quilt is now housed under glass in the front foyer of our building. Come in and view this master piece showing all of the old buildings in our town, plus local industry, sports and birds etc., this magnificent quilt was totally produced by the people of the Elmore district. Our next addition will be a new room to house our gift lines and then we are expecting to be able to display work from our local craftspeople in the front foyer.
Most asked question: What does Campaspe Run mean?
Answer: “Campaspe” is the name of the river on which Elmore was established and “Run” is the description from the past for a very, very large farm.
