On 19 July, the Bendigo Symphony Orchestra will return to St Paul's Cathedral for a special performance featuring music by Mozart, Haydn and Elgar.

This will be a rare opportunity to perform inside St Paul's before the building is closed to complete interior work prior to re-opening. As part of the renovation, changes to the interior have been designed to make the building a more flexible space, and this performance, featuring an ensemble of over 40 players, will give a good indication of how St Paul's might function as a concert venue.

The Bendigo Symphony Orchestra had enjoyed a long association with St Paul's, performing regularly in the Cathedral from 1987 and 2008. While St Paul's is available for this performance, there is still work to be completed before the Cathedral's reopening.

A portion of each ticket sold will go towards the restoration fund, there will be a gold coin donation for the afternoon tea, and there will be a raffle of a donated artwork.
