The School of St Jude in Tanzania fights poverty by educating young people.

Gemma Sisia started The School of St Jude in Tanzania over ten years ago and will be coming to Bendigo to enlighten us about how they are fighting poverty through education and how a high quality education is out of reach for most Tanzanian children.

The school now has free education for over 1900 of the very poorest but brightest children. Gemma brings with her Dorice Livingstone-Abel, one of ST Jude's first ever graduates who will speak about how the school changed her life.

Please come along to hear their inspiring stories. We will eat together first and encourage you to bring food along to share. It could be a curry, a salad, a dessert or casserole, whatever you like. There's even an option to come without food but pay more.

A silent auction will also be going on around the room with things as simple as a famous jelly slice or a take home dinner voucher, so if you have something to offer, let us know.
